Partying in Louisiana, in the USA today!

There will be one winner for today’s stop.

DAILY GIVEAWAY: $10 Amazon Gift Card

***

Today was not my scheduled day along this tour but we had a no-show, so I’m filling in…last minute, so you guys won’t feel let down.  And, even though it was a last-minute put-together, nevertheless, this will be a fun party!

First, I’d like for you to click HERE, just to get this party started!  Leave the volume up, so you can get a real feel of how we party in the USA!

Now, make your way over to the

Bartenders.jpg

(Ignore that distracted looking bartender…wait on the other guy)…

Order your favorite

dring on bar

…because we really do have EVERYTHING!

Look around, find the

Dance floor

(…yea, don’t get too close to that crowd).

Go on, start moving your body…and go ahead and wave at your old FRIENDS across the dance floor, who do nothing but hang out in bars. (I know, some of them are waaaaaaaaaaaay past that stage in their life…or, at least they should be.  Why don’t you tell them?)

No, I didn’t mean those friends…

I meant… these friends…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Yeaaaaaa, like I said, you should probably tell them, especially John Howell, before he does another break dance. (Dear God).

dog-shocked

(Yep, it’s preeeeeeety scary seeing him do that.)

You might wanna steer clear of Ms. Shirley, too. When she’s had a little too much to drink, I’ve seen her climbing on top of tables.

Yea, that’s not a good sight, either.

Now, Ms. Joy…

oh, hell…would somebody just go and get her?

The message behind this post today is:

FRIENDS DON’T LET THEIR FRIENDS (WHO HAVE THE PROPENSITY FOR DISPLAYING EMBARRASSING BEHAVIOR), GO OUT IN PUBLIC!!!

Thanks for dropping by today, guys!  Do me a favor and check out one of my favorite titles:

“IF ONLY THERE WAS MUSIC…”

Poetry1000

It would make me so happy if you picked up a copy today, and then leave me a review…an honest one, please! Oh, and do #follow my blog!  I’m highly entertaining, at times!

**DISCLAIMER:  No drunken, table-top climbing, break-dancing, twerking jail bird RRBC member was harmed in the making of this blog post**

If you’d like to keep that party feeling going, don’t forget to check out all the other stops along the block party tour…the month isn’t over yet! (Be sure to also go back and visit some of the stops we’ve already partied at, too!)

Are you an RRBC member?  What???  You’re not?  Do you see all the fun you’re missing out on?  JOIN TODAY!!!

I never imagined this was possible when I first joined the group, but you did it! Thanks for sharing. I love this forum for learning more about my peers and peeps. I’ll do it again any time. Away from home so gotta cut this short. Party on!

  30. Geesh, thought I was at Mardi Gras! Was a little sleepy by not long with Miley on!! I’d love to break dance but I’m already broke so I’m heading to the bar before John drains that bottle of scotch. it looks like a good year. It was so nice of you to jump in for whoever didn’t make it. I have most of your books but I’ll go for the poetry next. Hearing good things about it. Enjoy the rest of the party and the best part is you don’t have to do this again. Actually, I don’t want to take down or post over my 2 blogs, I love the comments so much.

I was in Louisiana for the 100th Anniversary of our Claver organzation and seeing the Mardi Gras, and experiencing the culture was beyond anything I had ever seen before. Up here in Michigan I got to experience a friend’s father’s funeral complete with all the brass horns and rhythmic dancing down the aisle at St. Cecelia’s in Detroit. I loved it. You can tell I don’t get out much. lol. If I ever get invited down there again, I will be sure to get some of your gumbo soup Nonnie!!.

Not only do I climb on tables but I become the life of the party. I am so much fun to be around when I’ve had a slight buzz, and it doesn’t take much to get me light-headed. So lets party y’all!!!

  35. I’m here, Nonnie, and I do like to party. This one here is swinging! Our people say, if you don’t know how to dance, just jump up and down, and no one will suspect anything! 😀 Right now, I am sitting comfortably and nodding my head to the music, with my glass of wine in one hand. Yes, that’s the party for me. 🙂 Thank you for making this a great party, Nonnie!

  37. Thanks so much for being here and filling in, Nonnie! IF ONLY THERE WAS MUSIC is just not the kind of book one can read in one go. I’ve been going back a few times, read some of the poems to my husband, and others to my eldest daughter who loves poetry. Enjoy your party. I’m going to try the boogie and suffer the consequences tomorrow. Kind regards and all the best for the rest of your party today!

    • Be careful with that boogie, Maretha! We already have one member out getting a hip replacement. Knowing her, she was probably twerking too hard! Hint: She’s the head of the OLG here at RRBC! LOL!

      • I’ll try to be careful, but with a glass in one hand and a cheese bite in the other, I’m ready … besides I’ve got to brace myself for news – good or bad at the neuro-surgeon on the third. So RRBC Party is helping me to make the most of my day now. Worry about spines and what nots tomorrow😱🎉”🍷🧀🎉

    • Oh, that’s so sweet of you to say, Wendy (I say the same thing about you!) but, I will have to admit, I must take a couple of my books down (couple meaning EXACTLY TWO!) as they are not at all, indicative of how I’ve grown. But, again, Wendy, thank you for being so kind!

I must say though, they’re still enjoyable reads…let’s just be HONEST! LOL!

Hilarious. I see that you are a lover of dog pictures. Like the book trailer. I am not usually a reader of poetry but your theme sound intriguing enough to stimulate readers. Thanks for the hosting the party in the absence of the original author. You are amazing.
