BOOK TRAILER

SYNOPSIS:

This is a book of poetry for and about forbidden love. These poems are sexy, sensuous and hot, but most of all, they are poems of love… and the feelings they arouse in you are unbelievable! They “feel” like love songs and you will “feel” like singing, but they are only spoken words coming from your mouth, without music. If you aren’t in love before you begin reading this book, you will go seeking a love afterwards.

Sample What’s Inside

Thru HER Eyes:

I Am Your Refuge

When you are hungry, I will feed you

When you are cold, I will warm you

When you need love, I will love you

I am your refuge.

When you fall, I will catch you

When you are drowning, I will save you

When you’re in danger, I will shield you

I am your refuge.

When you cry, I will hold you

When you feel broken, I will mend you

When you are lost, I will find you

I am your refuge.

I can be all things to you, if you let me.

Because, I am your refuge.

***

Thru HIS Eyes:

It Is A Heartache

We are distant

In miles,

Not in our hearts.

We long for each other,

Yearning

Relentless as the

Waves…

It is a heartache.

What is she doing

Now?

He asks.

Is it a smile

She wears or a

Frown?

Is this a heartache?

“Will he leave me?”

She wonders.

“Will he walk away

From the hardship, the frustrations?”

She fears for her heart.

It is a heartache.

The landscape is

Unknown,

Footsteps are tentative

Careful to avoid

Injury

To a fragile love,

To avoid a heartache.

His breast erupts in

Agony

Imagining the depth of

Despair

If she is not there

In his heart.

Beyond a heartache.

He is a fool,

It cannot be denied nor

Excused.

To bring his Goddess

To tears and worse;

It is a heartache.

Reviews

First of all, I must admit I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did, my poetry preferences lying firmly in the camp of the Larkin and Wendy Cope style (and even a little Pam Ayers!). I often find romantic poetry over eggs the emotion, leaving it seem trite. This was a different kettle of fish entirely! The collection tells the story of a developing love between a man and a woman, both in relationships with other people. The collection is well constructed with the emotion developing from initial euphoria and desire, through to confusion and frustration. It’s very cleverly done with a simple prose which gives it a charm and honesty that is difficult to ignore. My favourite was ” I am Your Refuge”. … It would make for wonderful wedding vows! ~ Helen Treharne

~~~~~
If Only There Was Music…” truly lives up to the hopes expressed in the introduction. Poetry is not my natural genre – you won’t find lots of books of poetry on my shelves, but I will be reading this book again and again for a long, long time. The book, co-written by Nonnie Jules and newcomer Giani Jordan, sizzles with passion on every single page! I profess no expertise in the writing of poetry, but I have never been so moved by verse as I have with the work of Jules and Jordan.
The book is structured in two parts: forbidden love from her perspective, by Nonnie Jules first; and that is followed by his emotional experience, by Giani Jordan. Jules demonstrates more than one style of poetry and her versatility is telling and powerful. Jordan is more consistent with a single style – they are different, but they work together beautifully!
It is hard to believe that these two writers can express, so profoundly, a love they did not experience together. Brava! Bravo! I heartily recommend this book to anyone who is looking for the emotional ride of his or her life!” ~ John Fioravanti
